Have You Seen the Horizon Lately? are proud to announce our latest campaign: “Partners in Fate, Partners in Government reached a national record with 2 million views on Facebook.
“Partners in Fate, Partners in Government” (in Hebrew “Shutafim Lagoral, Shutafim Lamemshal”) campaign is led by dozens of Israeli-Arab medical personal and was designed to promote Arab participation in government as well. 21% of medical workers in Israel are Arabs, and even bigger percentages working in the coronavirus departments.
We saw this as an amazing opportunity to promote legitimization to what was taboo in Israel until recently: Jewish-Arab political partnership. For the first time in Israeli history, the Arab sector, traditionally exempt from military service, are in the front line of a survival war – risking their lives and protecting all Israelis.
Have You Seen the Horizon Lately? launched a campaign in March 2020 with Arab doctors, nurses, heads of departments, pharmacists and other medical workers fighting coronavirus, to take a picture with their mask saying: Partners in Fate, Partners in Government. It spread like wildfire! it was on the tip of everyone’s tongue.
We HAVE TO use this unprecedented opportunity to promote Jewish-Arab political partnership.
Have You Seen the Horizon Lately? Is an Israeli non-profit that was founded in 2018 by Israeli activists, among them some of the leaders of 2011 Social Justice Protest. Its mission is promoting Jewish-Arab peace, and public support in the two-states solution. We are doing that through public hopeful and inspiring messages that allow the younger generation to imagine a different reality. In the last two years we organized dozens of TED-like events across Israel, offering new perspectives on how conflict is solvable. So far, more than 15 thousand young Israelis took part in our events.
Have You Seen the Horizon Lately Is funded by private donors, part by Israelis and part by Jewish-Americans as well as ticket sales.
